STATISTICS

 Everyday we come across a lot of information in the form of facts, numerical, figures, tables ,graphs etc. These are provided by various sources like newspaper, magazines, television etc. 

❖ Data : These facts of figures, which are numerical or otherwise, collected with a definite purpose is called DATA. 

❖ The extraction and study of meaningful information from these data is called STATISTICS.

❖It is the process of collecting information .

 ❖Data can be collected manually by door step collection and can be obtained from a source where it is already available.

 ❖Primary Data: Data collected manually by collecting observations and compiling them. ❖SECONDARY DATA: The data collected from a source of information , like office records, newspaper, survey records etc.
